As far as I'm concerned this site confirms once and for all (if further prove was needed) the validity of Darwin's theory of evolution. Not because of any new scientific evidence but simply because when I upload my picture and hit the ape-transformation button (yes it has one of those) the ensuing image is far too close to home (see left).
This site is a lot of fun and a new way for those of you who change their Facebook profile picture every day to display something more interesting than another pub crawl picture. It lets you alter your mug shot to see what you'd look like as a member of the opposite sex, a work of art, a baby, an old age pensioner or a teenager.
Spotted by a Wild Wild Web fan and friend of mine (pictured right, in elderly mode), coming hot on the heels of "The Age Project", "Face of the Future" is described by its designers, at the Computer
Science department of the University of St. Andrews, as a "facial
computer vision and graphics transformer".
It must have had some genuine academic or research value when it was launched but so far all I've used it for is to see myself as a hominidae or a woman.
