When Google, Microsoft and Yahoo start agreeing, something must be up. Now that government censorship of the internet has piqued the interest of these three web giants, it's probably time to find out exactly what the fuss is all about.
The China Channel, a plugin for Firefox, aims to do just that. When activated, it sends your internet traffic through a Chinese IP address, replicating the experience of surfing the internet from behind the bamboo curtain: complete with the banning of certain search terms, access to a bunch of Western websites and (possibly) surveillance by the Chinese government.
