UPDATE: Bono's people have rung, and want to make it perfectly clear that he did not call those two girls. Apparently, they are family friends of his mate and nothing inappropriate went on.
You have to wonder how hard Bono was hitting the champagne when he allowed his photo to be taken with two teenage girls sitting on his lap in St. Tropez.
According to the Mail on Sunday, after hanging out with 19-year olds Andrea Feick and Hannah Emerson at the Nikki Beach bar in St. Tropez (famous for its champagne battles where guests spray each other), the Make Poverty History campaigner accompanied his guests onto a luxury yacht, where presumably they discussed how to cut their carbon emissions.
Feick says that the pictures are totally innocent. She told the Mail she's known Bono for 'a few years' and that their relationship has never crossed the friendship line. A few years? Even if it is all totally innocent, what the hell is a 48-year-old man doing calling a young teenage girl? If I was his wife, I would want to know.

I'm a 25 year fan of the man and his band, since my early teens. He's always seemed like one of the good guys. But if I was his wife and his teenage daughters, I'd have a couple of questions of my own. Such as....does he really think it's appropriate to have phone numbers of teenage girls stored in his cell phone for when the whim of wanting to party with them strikes? And isn't cozying up to those same scantily clad teenagers just a tad disrespectful to his wife and his marriage?
