Arts & Media Correspondent on The Independent since August 2007, Ciar Byrne joined the paper in 2004 as Media Correspondent and spent a year as Assistant News Editor. She was previously Press and Publishing Correspondent at MediaGuardian.co.uk and spent three years at Private Eye. During her time at The Independent, she has had the pleasure of interviewing Sir Tom Stoppard, Simon Cowell and Richard and Judy among many others.
