The Independent’s Africa correspondent, Steve Bloomfield is based in Nairobi, Kenya, and has recently been reporting from Rift Valley. Since arriving in Africa in 2006, he has reported from almost 20 countries across the continent and tries to make sense of it all in Africa Unscrambled. Prior to being posted in Nairobi he was a reporter on The Independent on Sunday.
