The Life Browser: Here's the Life archive

For decades, LIFE magazine was home to some of the world's greatest photography. Now, thanks to a collaboration with Google, the defunct publication lives on as a free online photo archive stretching from the 1850s to the 1970s.

Movie fans may (or may not) be excited to know that a new trailer for the hotly anticipated Star Trek XI has been leaked online. The two minute clip suggests the delayed film is aimed as much at tweens as Trekkies.

The Life Browser: A Quo Christmas

What is it with aging rockers embracing YouTube? First we had Ringo Starr grumbling about fan mail and now Status Quo are rocking all over the web in support of their forthcoming single 'It's Christmas Time'.


Embarrassing online bodies
Adolescents squirming while a doctor discusses their body odour sounds like a ready-made online hit. It therefore comes as no surprise that Channel 4's Embarrassing Teenage Bodies website has attracted several million clicks in its first fortnight.

Following Britney Spears' impressive lead, it appears former US Vice President Al Gore has started using Twitter. The Nobel Prize winning activist is using the social networking site as a platform to voice his environmental concerns.

Monks are usually a peaceful bunch, so the recent news of fist fights breaking out at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem is somewhat surprising. Footage of the incident is currently appearing all over YouTube.
