Mugabe knighthood withdrawn - a welcome U-turn
So, Robert Mugabe is to have his knighthood withdrawn. The foreign secretary, David Miliband, had defended the decision not to remove the honour on his blog and on Question Time, arguing it would only add fuel to the fire of Mugabe's tactic of blaming the UK for interference in the ZImbabwe political process - this attempt to use the old call to arms against the old colonial power has been very evident in the editorials of the state-run media, which we regularly post on our "Pick of Overseas Comment" section.
Miliband had said:
Removing a knighthood will not bring food or help to people in desperate need - but will fuel Mugabe's game and we should not be party to that.
I'm glad he changed his tune - the honour had become more than an embarrassment - Mugabe still wore it as a badge of honour.
People got upset at Parky getting a knigthood and said he did not deserve one. When he had done no harm. Well why the heck did the queen and john major give a guy who had already done genocide in his home country a knightood.

Patrik, here's an even better idea. All African States should have nothing whatsoever to do with the west (and China for that matter). No raw materials for Industry, no acceptance of waste material for disposal, No diamonds, No gold, No oil, no exports whatsoever in fact. Utilise Africas raw materials to build African industry, African agriculture to feed African people exclusively also pay to repatriate all African intellectuals, doctors, scientists, engineers, educationalist, designers, architechts e.t.c.
How long do you think it would take before the wests, gung-ho, gun toting hordes start to invade claiming to be bringing 'DEMOCRACY' to Africa?
Also something else for you to think about. When in the history of the human race has a major conflict affecting the globe ever been started in or by an African State? In the history of mankind, which group of people have inflicted the most casualties on their fellow human beings?
You seem to forget that it was Africa that gave the world civilisation. Without Africans, you would still be living in a very cold cave somewhere.

It is amazing how the Caucasian race go in to a state of amnesia and try to forget the legacy and consequences of there actions in World War 1 and World War 2. Two of the many wars started by Caucasians starting in Europe which infected the entire Planet Earth, by bringing death and destruction to different continents,countries and many nations of people which Caucasians and there Coalition of the willing continue to do in the name of spreading democracy in the 21st century.
And there actions will always speak louder than there POLI-TRICKS sorry politics and there actions dictate that they(The Caucasians Race) can not lecture any one on Morals,Ethics,spirituality,religion,democracy,or living in truth, peace and harmony.

Why have the powers/Editors that be at the independent taken down Patrik,s posting that NUBIA has so eloquently replied to.
Being that The Independent News Media likes to promote it self as a champion of free speech you should be ashamed of yourselves for taking down PATRIK,S comment and posting no matter how twisted PATRIK,S logic or how racist PATRIK,S comments.

Frankly this is simply a reminder just how discredited our honours system is. Isn't it about time that we recognised people according to how much they have given rather than how much they've taken? Instead gongs are given to the rich for becoming rich and to the enemies of democracy simply for oiling the wheels of business. Perhaps we should just sell honours and be done with it. That way the Treasury raises money and the illusion that merit is a necessary part of being awarded an honour is finally buried.

Who, in their right mind, can think that a man so egotistical as Mugabe, is bothered about his knighthood. If anything he will probably have a dozen or so beaten up and if some die then so be it. Why can't some non-married man kill him! I know that is not Christian but neither is letting him carry on the way he is. Let's face it, no Christian country is going to help these poor devils.
