The Japanese have been "re-allocating" seats on their airlines for decades. Balance has been the primary reason. But there have been other reasons given, such as "Go there, go there" with a petite-finger point to other seat. Some day the Japanese will have a sign to handle this situation because they are good at signs. Like the one they used to have in a mens' room at Narita: "Pleased to adjust your person before leaving."
