With them or against them, it doesn't make much difference

By Raymond Whitaker

The US raid into Syria from Iraq, which Pentagon sources say killed a senior al-Qa'ida militant, Abu Ghadiya, has been linked to a string of recent missile strikes, and at least one ground attack, on al-Qa’ida and Taliban targets in Pakistan by US forces based across the border in Afghanistan. On BBC Radio 4’s Today programme the former US assistant secretary of defence, Richard Perle, was asked whether this was the Bush administration stepping up the "war on terror" while it still had the chance.

But there is a difference: Syria, in Washington’s eyes, is a fully paid-up member of the "Axis of Evil". Pakistan is supposed to be on our side.

The US, seeking to apply what it perceives as the lessons of the "Sunni awakening" in Iraq, has seconded members of its special forces to train Pakistan’s Frontier Corps in counter-insurgency fighting. The significance of this is that the Frontier Corps is mainly drawn from the Pashtun ethnic group, which straddles the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan. Perhaps, the thinking goes, these paramilitaries might be more successful than the Pakistani army, which is mainly Punjabi and has suffered heavy losses in the Pashtun tribal areas, in rooting out the militants and "foreign fighters" who have established themselves there.

In a parallel with the "Sunni awakening" in Iraq, Pakistan is also seeking to co-opt and arm tribal militias, and the US is watching the outcome closely. Already there are claims that the policy is bearing fruit in the tribal areas. As for Afghanistan, it has been suggested that the Americans might be seeking a "Pashtun awakening" there too – this is buried, almost as an aside, in a long piece on Barack Obama by "Primary Colors" author and Democratic insider Joe Klein.

But all the time the US is continuing to make attacks on Pakistani soil – the latest missiles killed 20 people, including, it was claimed, a senior Taliban commander. Now, in the first example of the US transferring tactics first used in Afghanistan, it has staged a helicopter-borne raid into Syria. Things might be different under a President Obama, but for the moment the leadership in Damascus might draw the conclusion that it doesn't matter whether you are for or against Washington in the "war on terror" – you will get attacked anyway.

GOOGLE-Al,Qai'da/Nazi and see how much interesting info comes to your attention good people about Islamic Nazi and Christian Nazi(Hitler was an Austrian Roman Catholic)
What history shows us is that after a Great Recession or Depression(depending on your mind state and what you know)What normally follows is a World Wide WAR.
It happened(Recession) before World War 1(which is called the Great War and it happened (Depression)before World War 2 and it looks like happening before (watch that space! smile-Hope you all get it!)
And the population of the Planet is drastically reduced
in the event of Wars and more civillians seem to get hurt or (worse) killed than military personnel in the event of War.(Do Not Believe ANKH Check It Out For Yourself please)
It is also a way of CULLING the human population (which is currenly estimated to be Six Billion)
Is this why their seems to be so much War Mongering???
Wake Up Good People-As NOW our CHILDRENS lives and futures depend on POSITIVE PEACEFUL ACTION
