It’s all over before it even really began. This week marked the final episode from the second series of Black Mirror. Entitled The Waldo Moment, it was a political satire that poked fun at the public’s apathy towards the electoral process via a big blue CGI bear.
If some viewers found last week a little too sappy for their liking then fear not, White Bear is a world away from Be Right Back and is anything but romantic. This was a return to the Black Mirror that most people are familiar with. It was dark and edgy with that surreal Charlie Brooker twist.
‘How did you two meet?’ ‘We met via social media.’ This answer may soon become the norm when telling others how you met your partner.
Charlie Brooker’s Black Mirror has returned to us with three more twisted tales with a technological slant. Despite marrying a former Blue Peter presenter and waxing lyrical about his offspring in his Guardian columns, there is nothing remotely sweet about any of these stories. Actually, that’s a lie.
