Right now, if the economy was a patient, it would still be in intensive care. Showing positive signs, but still a sick puppy. It will take time to inject enough confidence into the market to ensure that growth is maintained and the economy is truly back on track.

Kickstarter to launch in the UK on October 31st
Crowdfunding website Kickstarter will be opening its virtual doors to UK entrepreneurs on October 31st. Startups, musicians and inventors alike will be able to pitch their projects to the world in the hope of gaining enough support to bring their ideas to life.

Young people are sorting themselves out without help from the hand-wringing elite
There was plenty in the jobs stats yesterday to get commentators and bloggers wringing their hands about our lost generation of young people. The tone of the debate is very much that young people are the victims of a failing market needing endless help and support to get back on their feet. However, it overlooks the fact that increasingly the so-called millennials are taking control of the market for themselves and making it work for them.
