With 20+ degree weather expected to last all weekend in the capital, we’d be silly not to make the most of it. So we’ve dedicated a couple of suggestions to the good outdoors, while the rest of this weekend’s recreational pursuits – featuring a pioneering dance DJ, an Indian summer garden and comics galore – look like the perfect sign-off to the month of May.
The abject misery of a month’s rain in a week gave way to beautiful sunshine. Just in time for the thousands that gathered at Fringe City to see the Saturday afternoon outdoor entertainment, joined this weekend by all the trendy music types attending the Great Escape.
The Great Escape, Britain’s South By South West by the sea returns to Brighton this weekend for its annual cavalcade of blogbands, hipster spotting and being seen at the right gigs.
No, this is not a new Youtube phenomenon but a Wednesday evening at Brighton Fringe.
Brighton is awash. Aside from the torrential rain, the Great Escape music conference has hit the city, adding a huge injection of hipsters to the Fringe and festival crowds.
