UK twenty somethings are changing the face of migration in China
It was a dismal, wet and rainy weekday evening at one of Shanghai’s most popular nightspots last Wednesday. It may have been the impending typhoon scaring off many of the locals but there was something distinctly different about my first visit back to this club in over a year.

The Olympics in London hasn’t been so bad after all! But alas, the sporting fanfare wraps up on Sunday so if don’t want to pack out a pub to check it out, head over to a summer fest in gorgeous Greenwich to see it off in style.

Belfast’s nightlife suffers at the hands of stringent new laws
This week Belfast won an award for the quality of it’s nightlife based on how ’safe and welcoming’ it is. That’s according to the Association of Town Centre Management, who say that the city has a ’safe and welcoming’ nightlife. However, to the contrary, local government recently enforced new laws on clubs and bars, meaning that they must all close at 2am at the very latest – which in turn has caused many problems in the city centre.
