The end of the affair? Why inspiration from London 2012 might be short-lived
Watching the Games was like a heady holiday romance. Suddenly, we were connected to the world of elite athletes and shared in their joy and success. But as coverage ends, elite athletes will continue to exist on their own Mount Olympus of sporting success. And the rest of us will go back to ordinary lives.

Is this the end of inclusive education?
Late last year, I was horrified to read that a conference of sports medicine specialists was calling for PE to become a compulsory subject in schools. Worse, they wanted it to be a tested subject along with English and Maths, at every key stage of education.
