End clustering of betting shops on our high streets
It has become all too common in the UK to find clusters of similar shops in certain areas. All too often there is a string of bookmakers, kebab houses, tanning salons, with little diversity in between. Very few would argue that streets segmented by what shops are on them are desirable.

Sales shopping horrors of Christmas past
I’ve never understood the appeal of getting up at the crack of dawn and queuing up to bag that bargain. If anything, sale shopping seems to reduce people to a bestial level, it’s the ugly face of consumerism. So, during the festive sales season this year spare a thought for the shop assistants.
