Feminism is not a party political issue
A couple of years ago, Conservative Home Secretary and Minister for Women and Equalities, Theresa May and Diane Abbott, Labour MP and Shadow Minister for Public Health were both proudly photographed in t-shirts emblazoned with the slogan ‘This is What A Feminist Looks Like’ in a cross party display of support for the Fawcett Society’s 2006/07 ‘Feminist Challenge’.

Women are leading our struggle, but their role is often ignored
Yesterday marked International Women’s Day, a day of celebration of women’s contributions throughout history. Women have always been at the forefront of revolutionary movements, from Elaine Brown, who led the Black Panther Party from 1974 to 1977, to Leila Khaled, a leading member of the Palestinian freedom struggle.
