Barack Bomb from Hanoi Jane

By Leonard Doyle

Spreading like wildfire across the internet is the news that Jane Fonda has endorsed Obama for president. This wont help Obama with the Republicans who detest "Hanoi Jane" who showed up at a North Vietnamese anti-aircraft battery in June 1972 singing an anti-war songs, while John McCain was trussed up and being tortured nearby.

Fonda was out at dinner and as she exited a video camera was rolling. Someone shouted out "Who are you going to vote for?" After a moment of silence, the activist actress turned to the cameras, smiled and said said, "Obama".

I think its all good having celebs say they support you - all publicity is good publicity right?

She may be devisive but I think that most people backing obama would sympathise with her challenge to the war back then and link it to his challenge to the iraq war now - and she was amazing in klute and barbarella!

Don't underestimate the stupidity of Republicans, they are a spoon-fed, collectivist population, independent thought is sacrilegious to them---anti-Christian. How else can we explain two terms with Bush and Cheney?

Perhaps Hanoi Jane is a double agent for the Bilary team?

Funny, just read an article today by Johann Hari (TV not helping supply good unbiased information) when I saw this. How many parties/individuals have supporters who they wished they'd never had? Does anyone think for one minute that Obama will be influenced in any way by Fonda? Surely Republicans aren't that soft mentally, are they? Are the public/electorate in the States (and here) really that dumb and impressionable? Perhaps they are.
