She's (NOT) gotta have it
By David Usborne, New York
That's what film director Spike Lee will tell anyone asking whether the Democratic nomination should - against all the odds - be Hillary Clinton's. More pertinently, that's what he has told the latest issue of New York Magazine. Should we surprised that Spike is fired up about Barack Obama? Guess not, but he does admit that he was once a Clinton groupie.
How down is Spike on the Clinton clan right now? Plenty. Read what he has to say about Billary and we can only be glad he is not working for Barack's campaign - they would have to ask him to step down for overstepping the boundaries of decent criticism. (The fate of ex-foreign policy adviser to Obama, Samantha Power, when she called Hillary a "monster".) But he is just as harsh about those African American leaders who have continued to support her.
Here's a brief sample: "The Clintons, man, they would lie on a stack of Bibles. Snipers? That’s not misspeaking; that’s some pure bulls***," he tells the mag. "I voted for Clinton twice, but that’s over with. These old black politicians say, 'Ooh, Massuh Clinton was good to us, massuh hired a lot of us, massuh was good!' Hoo! Charlie Rangel, David Dinkins - they have to understand this is a new day. People ain’t feelin’ that stuff. It’s like a tide, and the people who get in the way are just gonna get swept out into the ocean."
If Barack finally gets the party's nod and needs a biopic to screen at the convention, he will know which director to turn to.

I thought that Bill Clinton was allright, till I realised after Monica Lowenski that Hilary was controlling evrything!! Think how she would control the country!!. She should leave now as she is damaging the democrats!! She willnot leave because she is so visioned.
Pity the democrats will lose because of her!!!

Dave: It's no revelation that Hillary is a liar, but I suggest you watch some more of the Rev Wright video (the uncut version) whereby I'm sure you'll find that the Pastor does not hate white people. He is mostly angry at the people who run your country (who happen to be white), but then he's not exactly alone in his contempt is he? The foreign policy of your government over the last 50 years has been dispicable. You just have to watch John Pilger's film to understand why he yells things like "the chickens are coming home to roost".

This is the worst year in memory for political candidates. Hillary is a liar. She said when she went to Bosnia and that snipers were shooting at her and Chelsea. ABC showed video of her greeting US soldiers and a Bosnian girl. No bullets flying.
Barack belongs to a church in Chicago that hates white people and he says he did not know. That is like my German relatives saying they knew nothing of the death camps.
God help America.

Yes I agree with Spike,
I think americans are sick of the old order and looking for a new political vision and barak obama symbolises that new way of doing politics. But I do think that if he does become the pres and once his elected honeymoon period is over he will be caught in the mire of american politics. Good luck though!

I agree with Spike Lee, Clinton comes across very badly as well as arrogant and seems to be taking much of the black and poor vote for granted. Her attitude seems to be very much that the presidency is her's by right of inheritance.
If I was American I'd be voting for Barack Obama all the way, he not only comes across as younger and fresher in a world of tired old political hacks who can only offer the same old soundbites but seems to be able to captivate and enthuse a public debate.
