The cable news channel MSNBC ran an ad for its Hardball programme last week to tease a segment on the image makeover Michelle Obama is supposedly undergoing . The ad has echoes of the advertising displays that appear above exotic dancing joints all across America.
One wonders what MSNBC was up to. Did they just not notice, or are they playing out some strange fantasy about Michelle Obama? The ad was pulled after it ran a couple of times because it was deemed "inappropriate."
Here is MSNBC's full statement to the Huffington Post:
"The artwork should not have been used, it was inappropriate. We pulled the spot and it was re-done without those images."
