McCain needs a knock-out performance at the town-hall-style presidential debate tonight if he is to keep his hopes alive. Rasmussen shows Obama leading 52-44, his highest level ever. The election has now been transformed by the the financial crisis which has shot Obama into the lead both nationally and in key states. It has taken a near global financial meltdown for the political climate to come good for Obama and the economic meltdown leaves McCain with very little room to maneuvere in the final 28 days of the race.
The shift means Obama has a 296 to 163 advantage over McCain. Polling in five battleground states shows Obama gains in Colorado, Missouri and Florida.
Independent voters are swinging behind Obama and Biden, because of the
economic turmoil and their debate performances, a new Wall Street
Journal poll says. The weekend survey says Obama increased his
advantage over McCain on economic issues, the top concern in the
election. Independents say health care and the economy are all they
care about. Some 40 per cent say Obama has it right and 25 per cent, McCain.

John McCain is used to force the election of Barack Obama.
Barack Obama forced you to pay for Wall Street's bailout.
Stop the extortion, blackmail, bribery, and division;
Ron Paul, Ralph Nader, and Cynthia McKinney.
"The two parties should be
almost identical, so that
the American people can
'throw the rascals out'
at any election without
leading to any profound or
extensive shifts in policy."

The McCain that was touted as a maverick,as possibly a likeable figure is a myth. What we now see is a blabbering old man who would stoop to any abysmal level to win.No debate, town hall format or not, will save him.And as for all this talk of being a maverick, if he ever gets into the White House prepare for World War III.He would soon be launching ICBMs at Iran before he realises that he would also be obliterating Israel.McCain is a danger to the world which is one reason the world at large is rooting for Obama
